On Sunday, May 24, 2020, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker issued Phase 3 Guidelines for Reopening Businesses across Illinois following expiration of the Stay at Home Executive Order on May 29, 2020. The Guidelines cover 10 industries – manufacturing, offices, retail, service counters, youth sports, health and fitness centers, personal care services, outdoor recreation, day camps, and restaurants and bars. The Guidelines can be found here:

The Guidelines provide specific steps for businesses to take in preparing for and operating under the current COVID-19 conditions. Social distancing, hand washing, wearing masks, taking temperatures, and capacity limitations are all part of the Guidelines. Restaurants and bars are limited to outdoor seating only (see our post regarding City of Rockford reopening guidelines for restaurants and bars).
The Governor also issued toolkits for each of the 10 industries, which include posters, signage, and social media graphics for businesses to utilize in educating customers and employees on the appropriate precautions to take to prevent further spread of COVID-19. The Toolkits can be found here: https://www2.illinois.gov/dceo/Pages/RestoreILP3.aspx.
We will continue to monitor the business reopening plans both locally and at the state level and will provide updates when warranted. Please contact us with any questions you might have. We are here to help you make it through these challenging times.
